2009-2010 Student Recitals
Student Recitals will be held on Sundays, February 7, March 21, April 11, and May 2 at the Madison Library. To enter students, MEA teachers need to submit a copy of the application form which can be downloaded from the Downloads page on this website.
Please observe the following guidelines:
Programs may include vocal, string, brass, etc., performers as well as pianists who appear as soloists, accompanists or in duet.
Performances should be of high enough caliber to deserve public audience even at early levels.
Each teacher may enter one, two or three pupils on each of the dates for a maximum performance time of 10 minutes for two or three pupils or a maximum of eight minutes for one pupil.
ALL SOLO REPERTOIRE MUST BE MEMORIZED.
No repertoire changes are permitted without the Chair’s knowledge.
All participants must remain throughout the recital (approximately one hour) in order to encourage proper courtesy at concerts and protect the performers from distractions.
Chair must be notified if performers are unable to appear.
Participants must arrive 15 minutes before the announced time of the recital. Teachers will be notified of the schedule at least one week before the recital date.

Family and friends are welcome at these free recitals. However, please remind parents that a $10 donation s suggested following the recital to cover recital expenses and to support the MEA-MJN Scholarship Fund
