Membership Dues

Please keep in mind the following general guidelines if anyone asks you about our organization:

  • Dues for the 2009-2010 year are $50 for Active Members and $25 for Associate Members. A Late Fee of $10 will be charged after July 1 (this does not apply to new members). An increased Late Fee of $15 will be charged after January 1.

  • Dues must be received by October 1 in order to enter students in the Honors Recital Auditions.

  • Dues must be received by December 15 in order to enter students in the Competition.

  • Dues must be received by March 1 in order to enter students in Auditions.

  • No new memberships will be accepted after March 1. Beyond this date we cannot guarantee that teachers will receive their new-member packets in time to enter students in Auditions. If you know anyone who is interested in joining, please encourage them to attend the spring meetings as guests. We will welcome them as new members for the following July 1 - June 30 fiscal year.

  • The returned check fee remains at $15.

Please remember to keep your membership card in a convenient place since a copy of it is required with any application submitted for MEA activities:

Please do not lose this card as only one card will be sent per year. Replacement cards will be issued for a $5 fee; please allow two to four weeks for delivery.
